WORKSHOPS

6th UK Doctoral Consortium

Submissions to the 6th UK Doctoral Consortium at BMVC 2014 are CLOSED.

This year the Doctoral Consortium, formerly called the Computer Vision Workshop, will take place on Friday 5th September 2014 , the day after the main conference. The workshop has become a regular feature of BMVC (previous editions: 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010). It provides an excellent opportunity for postgraduate students in computer vision to present their ongoing research, to network and start collaborations with other students. Furthermore, students have the opportunity to attend key-note sessions about hot topics in the field presented by experienced researchers. The workshop will be single track containing both oral and poster presentations.

PhD and Master students in UK institutions are invited to submit papers of which the main author is a student. Papers should outline their current work, and the goal of their PhD. During the day, each student will be paired with an experienced academic, who will attend their presentations, provide feedback, and discuss their work over lunch. All accepted papers for the workshop will be digitally published on the USB stick provided at the workshop and on-line at the BMVA website.

Please note there will soon be a Workshop Only option added to the BMVC registration options for £60.

Paper formatting

Please follow the main BMVC formatting instructions here. Papers for the consortium do not need to be anonymised, and no 1 page abstract is necesary. The main paper must be no more than 9 pages not including references, as per the main formatting instructions.
